Dr. Sarwar Kamal was born into an aristocratic Muslim family in Chapainawabganj, northern Bangladesh. He obtained his MBBS degree from Rajshahi Medical College (now proposed Rajshahi Medical University) in 1996. Following his internship, he worked in the Department of Surgery. Later, in 2001, he began his career in Heart and Vascular Surgery as an Assistant Registrar at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD). He worked efficiently at this hospital and earned a good reputation. In addition to his clinical work, he received the highest degree, Master of Surgery (MS), in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery from the University of Dhaka in 2008. In 2010, he joined the Zia Heart Foundation Hospital in Dinajpur, a leading center for heart treatment in North Bengal. He then pioneered open-heart surgery there, making it a more accessible treatment option for people in remote areas.

He joined the Chattagram Metropolitan Hospital Heart Center, located in the heart of the country's most dependable cardiovascular services at the center of the port city of Chattagram. In 2014, he initiated services for the people of the country's southern region. With great success, Dr. Sarwar Kamal completes Beating Heart Bypass Surgery, Aneurysm repair, Heart Valve repair with total chordal preservation. Additionally, he performs operations for all kinds of congenital heart diseases such as Total Correction of TOF, TAPVC, AV Canal defect, ASD, VSD, and PDA. He is also skilled in open-heart surgery using cosmetic (Minimally Invasive) procedures.

He has earned a reputation by presenting scientific articles at the national and international levels. He is a member of the Association of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Asia (ATCA), the Bangladesh Cardiac Society (BCS), the Bangladesh Association of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery (BACTS), the Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Society of Bangladesh, the Bangladesh Heart Research Association, and the Bangladesh Medical Association.
